What are End-of-Life Vehicles (EoLV)?
End-of-Life Vehicles (EoLV) are motor vehicles that have reached the end of their useful lifespan and are no longer roadworthy, economically repairable, or wanted by their owners. These include:
Passenger Vehicles
Cars, sedans, hatchbacks that are non-functional, accident-damaged, or abandoned on roadsides for extended periods.
Motorcycles
Bikes, scooters, kapcais that are incomplete, stripped for parts, or left abandoned in public spaces.
Commercial Vehicles
Lorries, trucks, vans, pickup trucks used for business that are beyond economical repair or obsolete.

How Vehicle Surrender Works
Our streamlined process makes voluntary disposal simple and fast—inspired by the MPAJ One-Stop Centre initiative.
Submit Your Request
Register on MyLoopX and submit a vehicle surrender request. Provide vehicle details (registration number, location with GPS coordinates, photos) and confirm you're the registered owner or have authorization.
Council Reviews (48 Hours)
Your local municipal council receives the request and verifies vehicle ownership via JPJ integration. They schedule collection within 48 hours. No court orders needed for voluntary surrenders.
Free Collection
Municipal tow trucks collect your vehicle at no cost to you. The vehicle is transported to the council depot where it's cataloged for scrapyard auction.
Certificate Issued
After disposal, MyEG issues a Certificate of Destruction via the platform. Your vehicle liability is cleared. JPJ deregisters the vehicle. You're done!

Eligibility Requirements
✅ You Can Surrender Your Vehicle If:
- You are the registered owner (or have written authorization)
- The vehicle is located within participating council jurisdictions
- The vehicle is non-functional or unwanted
- You can provide vehicle registration details and current location
- You agree to voluntary surrender (no compensation)
❌ Not Eligible:
- Stolen vehicles (must be reported to police first)
- Vehicles with active financing/hire purchase (requires bank clearance)
- Vehicles with outstanding traffic summons (pay first or council will deduct from scrap value)
- Vehicles outside participating council areas (coming soon nationwide)
